In
the Tuscany-themed Siena at Summerlin, a focal point of the
guard-gated village will be Lake Siena, a quarter-mile-long
lake with cascading waterfalls on the 1st hole of the golf course.
The 13,500-square-foot Siena Golf Club features a full-service
golf shop, locker rooms, multi-tiered practice facility and
The Siena Bistro with a patio dining room overlooking Lake Siena.
Surrounded by the
majestic Spring Mountains, Siena Golf Club features gently rolling
fairways, artfully contoured bunkering, undulating greens, plus
great views of the Las Vegas skyline. The course is fun, which
is the way talented designers Brian Curley and Lee Schmidt wanted
it, but there's also plenty of challenge. Siena offers a nice
blend of doglegs and straightaway holes, and enough length variances
to give players a chance to swing most of the clubs in their
bag. Most of the fairways are fairly generous on the course,
but the strategic bunkering around the greens gives the course
real teeth. |
