Tournament Players Club at the Canyon |
 The
Canyons course is a member of the PGA TOUR's prestigious network
of TPC stadium courses, designed to accommodate tournament play
with natural amphitheaters for spectator viewing. TPC at The Canyons
became the home course of the Las Vegas Senior Classic in April
1997. Designed by golf course architect Bobby Weed and player consultant
and renowned PGA champion Raymond Floyd.TPC at The Canyons is designed to incorporate its dramatic desert surroundings. The natural terrain of washes, canyons and arroyos has been worked into the course layout, while desert vegetation has been left intact, replanted or enhanced. This course offers hybrid bermuda grass tees, fairways and rough, along with bentgrass greens. The 14th hole, a 365-yard, par 4, has a green that is propped up behind a cavernous desert gorge. Because of its higher elevation and proximity to the nearby Spring Mountain Range, the course will provide striking views of the City of Las Vegas and Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. |
